My Story
I teach scents- That’s right I am a 2nd grade teacher. In two more years I will be retiring with 30 years of service. As you know NC teachers are quite underpaid so I will have to supplement my retirement. Hence Scentsy.
Why Scentsy? The story needs to go back almost 37 years ago. In July my husband and I will be celebrating out 37 anniversary. We have been blessed with two children. Our daughter has given us two wonderful grandsons. Our second child is the inspiration for my Scentsy email loveyouforeverscents@gmail.com. from the book Love you Forever by Robert Munsch. As a little boy I read him this story and rocked him back and forth and sang the little song. Well our story did not go the same way as it did in the book. He will not be able to take care of me when I am old. Unfortunately, he died suddenly and unexpectedly three years ago.
Still you ask why Scentsy. While on a FB page of a friend of my son I saw a posting for a Scentsy Bear Buddy for Valentine’s Day. The idea began to grow at that moment. After receiving a sweet thank you note from the consultant the idea grew more. On her Scentsy anniversary the positive post made it a reality. SCENTS the short time I have been a consultant I have become part of a positive, uplifting family. I have a sponsor and director, Ashley Engert that is knowledgeable and supportive. Scentsy has provided me with excitement and motivation that my life needed. I look forward to where Scentsy takes me as part of the Eager to Dream Team. BUY, HOST, JOIN!
September 2018, I am loving Scentsy even more. I now have 3 grandsons. Grandsons one and two love Scentsy especially the 5 yr old. WE have just about every Scentsy buddy together. The youngest one who is 4 months has already gotten several sidekicks and will be getting a Disney sidekick and Blankie Buddies. Our new Fall Winter Catalog is the best one yet! My husband has attended several Scentsy events and enjoys learning about our wonderful company. Helikes to be the one to change out scents. He has been"scentsatized" and enjoys using our products; laundry, hand soap, counter clean etc. I can't wait to see what life has in stored for me as my business and grandsons grow. Almost forgot, I did retire Sept 1017. I came out of retirement in January to complete the school year for school that needed an experienced teacher. In June I went back into retirement.
2019- Suddenly with no warning after a mammogram I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy. With covid and other complications I had reconstruction surgery 2021 and phase 1. 2022- Cataract surgery Aug 2022. During all of this I have been supported by wonderful friends, family and church and Scentsy family. Scentsy has been a constant with great customers and yearly events.
